Antioch Christian School recognizes that it cannot meet the educational needs of all children. ACS is designed to offer high quality Christian training; however, it is not designed to be a correctional institution for problems arising beyond those usually encountered in average school children. Some children do not adjust to a disciplined academic environment.  In such cases, ACS reserves the right to have full discretion in the discipline of the student, to place such students on probation for a reasonable corrective period of time, and to dismiss any student who does not cooperate with the educational process as determined.

A. To be eligible for enrollment in Kindergarten, a child must:

          1)  reach the age of five by December 31st of the year of enrollment, and

          2) have passed the Reading Readiness Test.

B. Children above the sixth (6th) grade level will not be accepted for enrollment if they do not want to attend ACS.

C. All students are accepted on a probationary period of 90 days.

D. Entrance is not based upon I.Q. or achievement ability. The underachiever is welcome unless he or she gives evidence of becoming a social or moral liability to other students.  However if it becomes apparent over time that a child cannot learn through the A Beka curriculum and will not be able to graduate from ACS before the age of twenty (20), it may be requested that parents find another educational facility that can handle whatever learning disabilities are found to exist.

E. No child will be admitted who:

          1) Has been arrested and convicted of a crime

          2) Has used drugs

          3) Smokes or uses tobacco

          4) Has been dismissed from any other educational institution

          5) Is or has been married

          6) Has run away from home

Parents must present a Report Card of the previous term of work.

Any exception to the Admission Policies must be approved by the Administrator of Antioch Christian School and is considered an exception in that case only, and is not to be inferred as an exception in any other case.
