Dear Parents & Students,
Antioch Christian School (ACS) offers a Christ-centered education for Kindergarten through 12th grade. We have a multi-racial student body that includes a broad range of economic and social backgrounds. We have students coming from many places in Anne Arundel County, Prince Georges County, Baltimore and Eastern Shore.
It is our desire and goal to provide each student with a solid educational foundation that will prepare him or her to succeed in whatever future endeavor they may attempt, be that college, vocational-technical training, or simply succeeding in life. We believe that the Bible teaches that it is the responsibility of parents to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). It is ACS's responsibility to work with parents to provide the educational discipline and instruction that reinforces and builds upon the moral and ethical foundation given in a godly home environment.
While ACS is affiliated with Antioch, The Apostolic Church, and the United Pentecostal Church International, we have structured our school environment to be nondenominational. We have attempted to build our school curriculum and structure on Biblical principles and standards of conduct. We try to impart Christian morals, character, and ideals through classroom devotions, scripture memorization, and weekly Chapel services. Above all, we try to provide a disciplined and uplifting educational environment that challenges our students to live and think from a Christian perspective.
Over the past year, Antioch, The Apostolic Church has faced some major challenges. These challenges have had a major impact on Antioch Christian School. As a result of these things we have been through, the school has had to make significant. However, I am happy to tell you that ACS is as strong as ever. In spite of the challenges we have faced, the Lord has blessed us and provided for us in many ways. I am sure that there are still unforeseen challenges that lie ahead. While we have tried to think of the challenges we might face, I'm sure many more will arise as we go. However, I am confident that together, with the Lord's help, we will overcome. In this coming year, open communication between parents and the faculty of ACS will be of utmost importance.
As principal of ACS, I welcome your input as we work through this year. Please feel free to contact us at any point you have an issue that needs to be addressed. I look forward to serving you and your children this year.
